Just got back from NXNE...We left Toronto at 8:50 this morning after a whirlwind of BBQ's, free beer and music. I got about 2 hours of sleep last night but it was worth it. Highlights - The Riz and I dancing on stage with Teenage head, meeting MTV VJ's, seeing a fat naked man in a clown mask dance on stage with White Cowbell Oklahoma, seeing the legendary Joao Carvalho Mastering studio and rocking out at the the Kelp Records/Saved by Vinyl BBQ! Thanks Dawn for everything! We had a blast and a half! A big thank-you to the The Saskatchewan Arts Board who funded our trip to the big city! Cheers!

We are opening for Danko Jones!!! We were accepted to North By North East In Toronto! No Borders stopping us this time!

JunoFest was sweet! ---Moving The Juno's around Canada was one of the best desicions of the Canadian Music Industry. It is awesome bringing together some of the best in the underground scene. There are so many talented musicians in this country. We love Calgary! Plus+ it is only 6 hours to Calgary and 32 to Hamilton.

I'm sure some of you are wondering why we aren't playing at SXSW tonight. Well, US Homeland Security denied Ultimate Power Duo access to the United States. It is a frustrating story at the very least. Many hours at the border. We are pretty disappointed, SXSW is amazing! But, we will be back next year.......maybe.....yes!

Tracking is done! Many long days of everything sound related. The record is coming along great! We tracked 4 bed tracks on one take. Everything else in just a few more. We love the studio. This record definately has a harder vibe. For a sneak preview visit us again soon! We will have fresh tracks to listen to right on this site weeks before the record is released!

We are recording again! Will be in the studio for the next week or so laying it down and mixing it up! We are pumped for our next album and have been working quite hard perfecting the new tunes. It is going to be sweet! We are excited! We will be releasing the fresh tracks as they come on this site. Make sure you look for it in the coming month!

We are going back to South by South West!!! We are super stoked. We had a blast the last time we went. Austin is amazing and SXSW.....wow. It is go time!

In other news we are set to record February of this year. We just went into the studio to do some demos and they turned out pretty sweet. It's crazy when you hear your songs back for the first time. Pretty cool though.

We will have the record out for spring.....right in time for everyone to get frisky. Make sure you look for it!

We finished up a CBC Radio 3 Session in Vancouver BC and are pumped! It was just released on their Podcast!

July 2007

We are back from the UK safe and sound! We rolled in, drove on the wrong side of the road and managed to avoid all the floods. We rocked, conquered and used the Power Fist to its full potential. England is amazing! So many cool bands, cool venues, cool people with accents and just an awesome vibe all around. We were very well received and were treated quite well. The shows were awesome!

Highlights included: The Lark in The Park, Live in Leeds(mostly because we can now say we played Live at Leeds, walking the coastline in Brighton, eating fish in chips in Bridlington, Rocking in Norwich on their two tier stage, Coalville, Peterborough.........Man it was all good!

Thank-you to everyone who helped us along the way. Another big thank-you to the Saskatchewan Arts Board!! We love you guys.

We can't wait to go back!
